N Illinois Univeristy shootings this week have got us all thinking. What the heck? Are our kids safe anywhere? My son was killed on a ten minute ride to Safeway, so I guess not. I have said for years, we as parents pray that our kids make it through these years, but this? A kid who everyone thought was GREAT - losing it one day shooting twenty-plus, killing five and then himself, just like that!
Columbine, Virgina Tech, and earlier this week there was a shooting at a JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL for goodness sake. And, no matter how secure you make the SCHOOL, the kid could shoot everyone at a store or movie theater or anywhere if they wanted. So, how do you stop something like this? YOU CAN'T.
We're back to: We as parents pray that our kids make it through these years. I mean, life is life and anything can take us ANY DAY. We walk out of our house and anything can happen. Sometimes you don't even have to leave your house. Ask those folks in Tennessee who lost lives and homes from the recent tornadoes.
Do the best we can EVERY DAY. Live our best life. BE A GIVER!!!!! Think about what goes along with being a giver. Then think about what goes along with being a taker.....

Teens and young adults looking for help negotiating life struggles. ~ I am a GRANDMA to 3 grandsons, and I am working on Ernies M.O.M. (Memorial Outreach Mission)project. M.O.M. assists victims of DUI crashes.
